Wing, left
Register 1: Raising of Lazarus; Martha and Mary, his sisters; Lazarus, wrapped in a shroud, emerges from the tomb. Entry into Jerusalem; foal of the she-ass.
Register 2: Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist. Deposition with the Virgin holding Christ's arm; Joseph of Arimathea holding Christ's body; man with pincers removing the nail from Christ's feet; saint John the Evangelist.
Wing, right
Register 1: Betrayal (Taking of Christ; Kiss of Judas); Christ restores Malchus' ear, cut by saint Peter. Death of Judas (Judas hanging); tree.
Register 2: Three Holy Women at the Tomb, with angel seated on the tomb and three soldiers asleep. Last Judgement with Resurrection of the Dead (Christ in Glory); angels holding Instruments of the Passion (nails); Virgin Mary and saint John the Baptist kneeling.
Beaded border on three sides.

Hinges
Two hinges.

Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive gilding and polychromy (later): gold (architectural details: arches and beads; hair and beards; throne; spears, etc.), blue (background), red (spandrels; blood; lips), green (spandrels; tomb; lining of garments), brown (hair).

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Scratches, traces of glue.

Object Condition
Discolouration on the back.

Provenance
Monastery of Muri, Switzerland; at the suppression of the monastery in 1841, brought by the monks to the Benediktiner-Kollegium Sarnen, part of the Muri-Gries monastery, successor of Muri.
