Standing Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); Virgin trampling a monster (winged dragon); two angels holding candlesticks; angel crowning the Virgin.
Medallions containing trefoils enclosing protruding cones in the spandrels. Beaded border.


Attribution
Unknown

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the right side.

Reverse
Flat and smooth.
Traces of glue. Label with pencil inscription: '1906 156'.

Object Condition
Many minor vertical cracks. Damaged around the hinges.
Missing: lower left corner. Red stains around the Virgin's breast.

Provenance
Keele Hall Heirlooms sale, Christie's, London, 22 May 1906, lot 51: bought by George R. Harding on behalf of the Museum.
