Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Two later holes in the upper part of the panel.
Pierced at the top with two holes for suspension.

Comments
A cast was made of this piece in the 19th century and one of the photograph on this page is a photograph of this cast (Courtauld Institute of Art, Witt and Conway Library, no. 242).

Collection of Sir Andrew Fountaine (b. 1676, d. 1753), Norfolk, England: Fountaine sale, Christie, Manson & Woods, London, June 1884, lot 521. Collection of Michael Sinclair Wellby (b. 1928, d. 2012): his bequest to the Museum in 2013.
