Bishop on horseback with mitre and cross; three singing or praying monks holding open books; soldiers holding crossbows; cleric holding a cross; cleric holding an open book.

Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Missing: upper part of the crozier.

Comments
Inscription 'WILLIGISVS' carved on the base. This piece seems to have been part of the same set as a piece in the Grünes Gewölbe in Dresden (Inv. II 201). See related objects.

Provenance
Ambras Castle collection, Innsbruck; acquired for the royal collections in 1811; transferred from the Königliche Vereinigte Sammlungen to the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum, Munich in 1857.
