Gilded silver (later frame);ivory

Register 1: Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; standing figure of the Church (Ecclesia), holding a cross and a chalice; the Church collecting Christ's blood in a chalice; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; standing figure of Synagogue (Synagoga), holding a broken spear; tables of the Law; soldier with a shield with a face; sun and moon.
Register 2: Adoration of the Magi; attendant with horses.

Toledo 1926: 14th century.
Estella Marcos 1984: Spanish, late 15th century.

Traces of gilding and polychromy.

Object Condition
Vertical break down the panel.

Provenance
Rivera Recio linked it to the royal chapel, probably because of the arms featuring on the frame (see Rivera Recio 1949). Mentioned for the first time in 1926 when it was exhibited at the Exposición eucarística in Toledo.
