Trace of one missing hinge on the right side.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Remains of a label.

Object Condition
Broken in half down the middle and repaired. Surface worn.

Comments
This is a partial copy of a plaster cast of a diptych also at the Victoria and Albert Museum (Inv. 233-1867), itself a copy of a Louvre diptych (see Williamson and Davies 2014).

Provenance
Purchased by the museum from Mr Scott, Peckham Grove, London, in 1884.
