Crucifixion, with sword pointing towards the Virgin's chest; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers.
Pointed trefoils.

Object Condition
Extensive traces of shaving and tampering. Pierced at the top by two holes.
Missing: fragment along the left border.

Provenance
Thomas Rogers (b. 1804, d. 1855), Oxford; given to the Museum by Mrs. Thomas Rogers, St John's Street, Oxford, in 1864; Department of Western Art (WA1908.192); transferred to the Department of Antiquities in May 2008.
