Standing Virgin and Child; Virgin holding a fruit; crown; Christ seated on left arm; Christ in long robe; Christ holding a fruit; Child pulling the front of the Virgin's veil; female veiled figure kneeling in donor position.

Erbach 1993: Italy?, end of the 13th century/beginning of the 14th century.
Kryzhanovskaya 2014: Italian, 1st quarter of the 14th century.

Reverse
Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Cracks.
Hole in the underside to attach it to a base. Damage to the Virgin's feet.

Collection of Stepan Nikolaevich Mitusov (b. 1847; d. 1922 (?)), Saint Petersburg: his sale, 1897, lot 166 (Katalog kollektsii predmetov iz slonovoi kosti S. N. Mitusova (Saint Petersburg, 1897), no. 166); collection of the Museum of the Society for the Encouragement of the Fine Artas (Muzei OPKh), Saint Petersburg; acquired by the Hermitage in 1933.
