Birth of the Virgin; midwife bathing the Virgin; bed.
Crosshatched background; foliated decoration in the spandrels.

Museum's opinion 2012: Flemish, 15th century.

Flat, with some scoring.
Label with printed and handwritten inscriptions: 'Carved Panel from an Ivory Triptych', 'Temp. Edward III'.

Object Condition
Central hole in the upper part of the panel.

Provenance
Acquired c. 1840-1850 by Henry Cuming (d. 1904); his bequest to the parish in 1904 (the museum opens to the public in 1906).
