Wing, left
Nativity and Annunciation to the Shepherds; shepherd holding a shawm; swaddled Christ; sheep.
Wing, right
Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls. 
Pointed trefoils.

Portland and Fort Worth 2000: Flemish (?), 2nd half of the 14th century.
Museum's opinion 2013: Flemish (?), 2nd half of the 14th century.
Kryzhanovskaya 2014: Germany, end of the 14th century - beginning of the 15th century.

Two hinges.

Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive traces of gilding: haloes, ground, architectural details, etc.

Reverse
Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Two holes for the lock.
Minor cracks on the back.

Provenance
Collection of Baron zur Mühlen, Münster. Collection of Gregorii Sergeievich Stroganoff (b. 1829, d. 1910), Saint Petersburg; donated to the Museum of the Society for the Encouragement of the Fine Arts (Muzei OPKh); transferred to the Hermitage in 1925.
