Register 1: Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; sun and moon. 
Register 2: Annunciation; vase of lilies; dove of the Holy Spirit. Saint Christopher. Saint John the Baptist.
Bands of quatrefoils.

Bousmanne 2002: France, c. 1375.

Recessed to receive wax, with vertical division. Traces of blue wax appear under microscope examination.

Comments
Three slots on the side edges to accommodate strips of parchment used to keep the tablets together.

Collection of H. O. Goldschmidt, Eindhoven. Collection of H. Baer, London. Bought in 1997 from antiques dealer Jan Dirven in Antwerp by the Bibliothèque Royale.
