Standing Virgin and Child (Vierge Glorieuse); two standing angels holding candlesticks; two angels crowning the Virgin; two angels holding navettes and swinging censers in the spandrels.

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the right side.

Reverse
Slightly curved. Brown substance (paint?) stuck to the surface. Label with faded inscription: 'This ivory carving is valuable. Mr Luth[...?] said might be worth [?] £25 or more'. Other label with price '£25'.

Object Condition
Deep vertical crack. Central hole in the upper part of the panel.

Provenance
Collection of Mrs Greville: bequeathed to the National Trust possibly in 1942.
