Width: 56 mm

Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls. 
Border of dentils.

Williamson and Davies 2014: Mosan or German (?), about 1350-1375.

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the left side.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Old round label (obscured).

Object Condition
The ivory has split vertically into two pieces which have been glued together.
Two central holes in the upper part of the panel.

Provenance
Collection of Canon Lewis Gilbertson of Bedford Square, Rector of St Martin's Church, Ludgate Hill, London by 1928; bequeathed by Mrs. Edith Gilbertson (d.1940) in memory of her husband in 1940.
