Register 1: Entry into Jerusalem; foal of the she-ass.
Register 2: Entombment with Virgin embracing Christ; angel holding a censer; angel holding a situla and aspergillum.

Randall 1993 and Museum's opinion 2010: German (Thuringia or Saxony?), 3rd quarter of the 14th century.

Two missing hinges.

Object Condition
The voids left by the original hinges have been cut square and filled with new ivory.

Provenance
Collection of de Vinck de Winnezeele, Antwerp (paper sticker with family arms). Collection of Marie-Elaine D'Ukedem d'Acoz, New York: bought from her thanks to the Andrew R. and Martha Holden Jennings Fund in 1984.
