Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the left side.
Reverse
Flat. Engraved within a double incised border with a scene of the Nativity by a folk artist (probably 18th century, according to Randall 1993). Exhibition label: 'Art Treasures Exhibition. Museum. Stonyhurst College'.
Object Condition
Three corners chipped. Cracked at top centre. The central hole drilled in the upper border appears to be original, according to Randall (1993).
