Trace of an arch on the back of side 1.

Object Condition
Missing: central piece of ivory (probably with a central tower) and lower part of the object (see Inv. 4954, also in the Museum of London, for an example of an intact mirror case of similar kind).

Comments
Made of three different pieces joined by four copper alloy rivets. Similar to Inv. 4954, also in the Museum of London.

Provenance
Found at Tokenhouse Yard EC2 (City of London) in 1865. On long-term loan to since 1959 from the Cuming Museum, Southwark (as Acc. C11784).
