Standing Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); two standing angels holding candlesticks.
Wing, right
Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist; saint John the Evangelist covering his head with his cloak.

Santrot and Gaborit-Chopin 2011: Paris, c. 1330-1350.
Museum's opinion 2013: Paris, 1st half of the 14th century.

Hinges
Two hinges.

Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive polychromy and gilding: gold (hair, painted cruciform halo, foliated decoration, Christ's loincloth, medallions in the spandrels), black (painted cross), red (architectural details, halo, lining of Christ's loincloth, blood).

Reverse
Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
The left wing broke vertically in two pieces which have been glued back together.

Comments
The inner edges of the wings engraved with decoration.
