Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the right side.

Reverse
Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
The bottom edge has been roughly faceted. Some small cracks.

Comments
Randall (1993) suggests that the rough workmanship and large hinge mitres indicate a provincial atelier.

Provenance
Bequest of Frank Jewett Mather, Jr., Class of 1889, in 1957.
