Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls. 
Pointed trefoils.

Museum's opinion 2013: France (Paris), late 14th century.

Traces of two missing hinges on the left side.

Reverse
Flat with scoring.
Labels with inscriptions: 'COLLECTION DU DR P. THOBY NANTES VIII'; 'EXPOSITION D'ART RELIGIEUX 1933, LA PSALLETTE DE NANTES, 310'.

Object Condition
Missing: part of the background, in two places.
Hole in the lower right corner. Indent in the upper border, in the centre. Lower border chipped.

Collection of Dr Paul Thoby, Nantes (no. VIII in his collection; bought in Paris from art dealer H. Garnier, 79, rue des Saints-Pères, on 7 June 1928): his bequest to the museum, 1969.
