Register 1: Annunciation; vase of lilies; dove of the Holy Spirit. Visitation.
Register 2: Nativity and Annunciation to the Shepherds; swaddled child.
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels.

Museum's opinion 2010: French (Paris?), 2nd half of the 14th century.

Reverse divided into 5 compartments, the central one being circular. This indicates that this panel originally was part of a set of writing tablets.

Given to the museum by Dr August Meyer, Basel, in 1977.
