Wing, left
Register 1: Betrayal (Taking of Christ; Kiss of Judas); Judas receiving the reward (payment in silver); soldiers; lanterns.
Register 2: Christ before Pilate.
Register 3: Crucifixion (Nailing to the Cross).
Sun in the gable.
Centre panel
Register 1: Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers; soldiers; spear; shield; two angels and God the Father in the wooden gable.
Register 2: Nativity; sun and moon; angel; swaddled Christ.
Wing, right
Register 1: Mocking of Christ (?).
Register 2: Flagellation.
Register 3: Deposition with the Virgin holding Christ's body; Joseph of Arimathea holding Christ's body.
Sun in the gable. Greek (?) inscriptions.

Reverse
Gilded wooden case.
Carved on the back of the wings and visible when the triptych is closed: Annunciation. Blue and white label with the inscription: '31[?]'. Blue and white label with the inscription: 'n. 837'. Blue and white label with the inscription: '1035'.

Provenance
In the collection assembled by Alexandre Le Grand for the museum by 1875. Described in a pre-1888 handwritten inventory kept at the museum as: 'Triptyque en ivoire italien de Bartolomeo Taddeo Cigali. XVe siècle. Scènes de la vie de Jésus'.
