Adoration of the Magi with standing Virgin and Child.
Wing, right
Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist; Longinus with spear kneeling in prayer; Stephaton giving Christ vinegar; Stephaton holding a bucket.
Pointed trefoils.

Randall 1993: Swedish or North German, 1340-1360.
Museum's opinion 2012 (based on C. Little's opinion): French, 1340-1360.


Two later hinges.

Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive traces of polychromy (later; from the Baroque period, according to Randall 1993): blue and dark red (garments).

Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Later hole drilled in the upper part of each panel.

Sotheby's, New York (?), 16 May 1968, lot 52. Bought thanks to the Arthur and Margaret Glasgow Fund from the Blumka Gallery, New York, in 1969.
