Wing, left
Register 1: Entry into Jerusalem; foal of the she-ass. Christ washing the feet of the apostles.
Register 2: Betrayal (Taking of Christ; Kiss of Judas); Christ restores Malchus' ear, cut by saint Peter; lantern. Flagellation.
Register 3: Entombment, with Holy Women (Anointing of Christ's body). Resurrection; three soldiers asleep; two angels kneeling on the tomb.
Wing, right
Register 1: Last Supper with saint John the Evangelist leaning on Christ's breast; Christ feeding Judas across the table; ewer. Agony in the Garden (Christ at Gethsemani); apostles asleep; trees.
Register 2: Carrying of the Cross with the Virgin helping Christ; man holding nails; man holding a hammer. Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist.
Register 3: Noli me Tangere (Christ appearing to saint Mary Magdalene). Doubting Thomas (the incredulity of saint Thomas).
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels.

Hinges
Three hinges.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Longer edges slightly chamfered. Inscription '76.'

Object Condition
Broke to the right of the lower hinge (repaired).
To small holes into extreme outer part of the top and bottom edges.

Provenance
In the possession of John Webb (b. 1799, d. 1880), London, by 1862: purchased from him by the Museum in 1867.
