Crosshatching and notches. Inscription in red ink: '9967'.

Object Condition
Missing: nose of the soldier on the right.

Collection of Frédéric Spitzer, Paris: his sale, Chevallier and Mannheim, Paris, 17 April 1893, lot 110. Collection of Adolph Moritz List (b. 1861, d. 1938), Magdeburg. Purchased by the museum from Dr. Johannes Jantzen, Vienna in 1944.
