Knight on horseback; kneeling female figure offering a pot; standing female figure with hands in prayer; standing female figure.

Museum's opinion 2013: Italian, 16th century.


Attribution
Unknown

Reverse
Partially carved in the round; vertical axis in the centre where the piece must have been attached to a surface. Traces of purple pen inscription, not legible.

Object Condition
Very worn. Pierced at the centre. Missing: horse's left hind leg and tail; head of the figure with hands in prayer; upper part of the horseman's body including his head. The head of the figure to the right seems to have become detached and been glued back into place.
The horse's right hind leg and the saddle are chipped.

Provenance
Collection of Annibale degli Abbati Olivieri Giordani (b. 1708, d. 1789); donated by him in 1756 to the city of Pesaro.
