Bruges 2010: Northern France (Paris?) or the Meuse region (?), mid or 3rd quarter of the 14th century (?).

Back of the ivory hidden by the brass frame. Brass handle.

Comments
This panel was changed into a pax, probably in the 15th century: a frame and handle were added to it at this point (see Vandenberghe 2010).

Bruges wood-turners guild; purchased on 26 November 1865 by the Société Archéologique de Bruges.
