Wing, left
Register 1: Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist; sun and moon. Resurrection; two angels kneeling on the tomb; three soldiers asleep.
Register 2: Annunciation; vase of lilies; dove of the Holy Spirit. Visitation.
Wing, right
Register 1: Ascension; Virgin and apostles including saint John the Evangelist and saint Paul holding a sword. Coronation of the Virgin; musician angels (string instruments; psaltery).
Register 2: Nativity with midwife; swaddled child. Annunciation to the shepherds.
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels.

Three broken hinges (modern).

Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive traces of polychromy (modern).

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Chamfered inner edges.

Object Condition
Pieces of wood in the holes left by the missing hinges.

Wilhelm Metzler collection, Frankfurt am Main; acquired by the Museum in 1904.
