Extensive traces of polychromy and gilding: red (robes), blue-green (tree; books) and gold (along the hems, hair, beards, tree).
Reverse
Curved, with crosshatchings.
Labels with inscriptions: '1693' and 'Inv. 4407'.
Object Condition
Some brown marks.
Provenance
Waïsso (?) collection: acquired from the art dealer Dentaly (rue du jeune Anacharsis, Marseille) in November 1882 by Bruno Vayson, first husband of Marie Labadié, for 65 francs; Marie, following the death of her second husband, Louis Grobet, in 1917, gave her collection to the city of Marseille in 1919; the museum opened to the public in 1925.
