Ivory;metal (remains of hinges)

Height: 182mm
Width: 62mm
Depth: 14mm

Register 1: Crucifixion; Longinus piercing Christ's side; Longinus shielding his eyes; Stephaton giving Christ vinegar; Stephaton holding a bucket; Sun and Moon; titulus.
Register 2: Adoration of the Magi.
Rosettes in the gable and in the spandrels.

Gruyer 1902 and Paris 1930: France, early 14th century.

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on either side.

Reverse
The back of the panel is slightly projecting forward so that the cross section of this part is triangular. Inscription: '8'. Label with inscriptions: '8' and '415'.

Provenance
Collection of Léon Bonnat (b. 1833, d. 1922): his bequest in 1922.
