Register 1: Visitation; Annunciation; vase of lilies.
Register 2: Standing Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); Virgin holding a flower in her right hand; two standing angels holding candlesticks; angel crowning the Virgin.
Medallions enclosing pierced trefoils in the spandrels.

Koechlin 1924: France, end of the 1st third of the 13th century.
Gaborit-Chopin 1988: Paris, c. 1270-1290.

Traces of two missing hinges on the right side.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy: green (architectural details; clothes).

Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Missing: lilies (register 1) and candles (register 2).
Hole in the upper right part of the panel.Broken around the lower hinge.

The right wing of this diptych is also in the Museo Nazionale del Bargello (Inv. 103 C).

Carrand collection: bequeathed by Louis Carrand (d. 1888) to the Museo del Bargello in 1888.
