Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls.
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels. Border of dentils.

Randall 1993 and Museum's opinion 2010: German (Cologne?), 3rd quarter of the 14th century.

Smooth and flat.

Object Condition
Lower left corner and middle of the left border damaged, possibly resulting from burial. Off-centre hole at the top.

Provenance
Bought in 1967 thanks to the Acquisition Fund.
