Standing Virgin and Child; Christ seated on left arm; Christ in long robe; Christ holding a fruit in his left hand.

Randall 1993: French (?), 3rd quarter of the 14th century.

Traces of gilding and polychromy.

Reverse
Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Missing: half of the bird, right hand of the Virgin, right hand of Christ, some ornamentation on the crown.
Drapery at the base chipped.

Collections of Graf Wilzek, Burg Kreutzenstein. Booth Tarkington collection, Indianapolis (bought through Silberman Galleries, New York in 1934); Gift of Mrs Booth Tarkington, in memory of Booth Tarkington, in 1957.
