Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on either side.
Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy and gilding: halo, trefoil in the gable.
Reverse
Modern labels with inscriptions: 'VIII G/441', '441' (441 corresponds to the Wallace Collection catalogue number). Stain on the back with a pattern of Gothic tracery including two arches and a quatrefoil (traces of a mount?).
Object Condition
Missing: some crockets along the gable.
Background damaged to the left.

This piece was certainly originally the centre piece of a triptych.
