Saint Stephen holding stones and an open book.
Base decorated with quatrefoils.

Berliner 1926: Burgundy, early 16th century, base: 19th century.
Schenkluhn 1987: probably 1st half of the 19th century.
Museum's opinion 2014: probably 19th century.

Reverse
Carved in the round.

Object Condition
The head was worked separately. Hole at the back of the head, probably to attach a metal halo.
Some repairs at the base.

Provenance
Acquired in 1856 in Augsburg.
