Register 1: Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist.
Register 2: Deposition; three Holy Women; Virgin embracing Christ's body; saint John the Evangelist.
Register 3: Entombment with wooden coffin.
Wing, right
Register 1: seated Virgin (part of Annunciation).
Register 2: saint John the Evangelist.
Register 3: saint George and the dragon.
Two towers. Beaded borders. Pomegranates.

Pin hinges (replacement); four cuts for earlier hinges.

Object Condition
Considerably worn. Broken in the lower part of the centre panel.

Comments
Related to no. 143-1866 at the Victoria and Albert Museum; byzantinising style (Randall 1985).

Provenance
Said by the vendor to have come from a Portuguese convent; bought by Henry Walters from Henry Daguerre in Paris in 1925; Walters Art Museum, 1931, by bequest.
