Two hinges on the left side. The hinges have retained their original pins.
Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy: hair, beards and headdresses.
Reverse
Flat and smooth. Faded inscription: 'D v P' (implying, according to Randall 1993, a Dutch ownership).
Object Condition
Hole on the right edge where the clasp was fitted. Hole with silver ring at the top for hanging.
Missing: some noses of the Holy Women and male onlookers.
Provenance
Bought from Adolph Loewi, Los Angeles, in 1961. Gift of Mr. and Mrs. Livingston Jenks.
