Two angels holding a dish with the head of saint John the Baptist.
Crosshatched background; columns.
Carved inscription '1502'. Unidentified coat of arms, possibly with a merchant's mark.

Object Condition
Edges chipped. Central hole in the upper part of the piece.
An area above the coat of arms seems to have been scratched to erase a feature.

Figdor collection, Vienna (by 1924); acquired by the Museum in 1935; undocumented after 7 April 1945.
