Height: 168mm
Width: 55mm

Register 1: Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist.
Register 2: Standing Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); two angels holding candlesticks.
Head of God the Father in the gable.
Pierced rounded trefoils. Arches.

Attribution
Soissons group (Atelier du Diptyque de Soissons)(Koechlin 1924)

Hinges
Traces of two broken hinges on the either side.

Polychromy - Gilding
Ivory tinted purple.

Reverse
Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Missing: upper part of the gable; pinnacles; part of the candle held by the left hand side angel.
Scoring along the grooved longer sides. Three holes in the lower part of the panel. Two nails on either side of Christ's feet.

Provenance
Vermeersch bequest in 1911.
