Standing Virgin and Child; Christ seated on left arm; Christ in long robe; blessing gesture; crown.

Reverse
Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Missing: Child's left forearm; upper part of the flower or sceptre held by the Virgin.
Crown chipped.
The head of Christ broke off and was glued back into place.

Provenance
Collection of Mikhail Petrovich Botkin (b. 1839, d. 1914), Saint Petersburg; transferred to the Hermitage in 1919.
