Seated Virgin and Child; Virgin holding a fruit in her right hand; Christ in long robe; Christ standing on the Virgin's left knee; Christ holding a fruit in his left hand; bench.

Traces of gilding and polychromy: pink (flesh), gold (robes).

Carved in the round.

Provenance
Demotte collection, early 20th century. Bought by Sir William Burrell from Mr John Hunt, 24 September 1936 for £85; given to the City of Glasgow by Sir William and Constance, Lady Burrell, in 1944.
