Recessed to receive the wax. Museum label.

Object Condition
Missing: upper right corner, upper left corner and part of the left border; lower left corner broken. Hole drilled in the lower right corner.

Provenance
Found on the site of Farringdon Market, Farringdon, London (Islington). F. G. Hilton Price collection; purchased by the London Museum in 1913. The London Museum and Guildhall Museum merged in 1976 to form the Museum of London.
