Standing angel holding a candlestick.
Centre panel
Seated Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); angel crowning the Virgin; clouds; Christ in long robe; Virgin holding a bird in her right hand; Christ holding a fruit in his left hand.

Erbach 1993: Northern France, 1st quarter of the 14th century.
Portland and Fort Worth 2000: Northern France (?), 1st third of the 14th century.
Kryzhanovskaya 2014: Northern France, 1st third of the 14th century.

Hinges
Traces of two missing (ring?) hinges on either side.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy: red and black.

Reverse
Hidden by the frame.

Object Condition
Ivory cracked; 19th century frame incomplete.

Provenance
Collection of the Stroganoff family, Saint Petersburg, from 1868; transferred to the Hermitage in 1919.
