Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; sun and moon. 
Pointed trefoil in the gable; row of blind arches in the spandrels.

Koechlin 1924: France, 3rd quarter of the 14th century.

Circular recess on the reverse. Raised border.

Comments
Koechlin notes that the cast of this piece (see CAST image on this screen) was made when it was in the possession of von der Launitz and that one of these casts is kept at the Skulpturensammlung in Berlin (formerly Kaiser Friedrich Museum). He also mentions that copies of this piece exist in Basel and Zurich.
