Wing, left
Register 1: Resurrection; two angels standing on the tomb with hands in prayer. Ascension; apostles asleep.
Register 2: Christ among the Doctors; Virgin leading Christ away. Marriage-feast at Cana.
Register 3: Annunciation; dove of the Holy Spirit; vase of lilies. Visitation; the Dream of Joseph.
Wing, right
Register 1: Pentecost. Coronation of the Virgin; two standing angels holding candlesticks.
Register 2: Last Supper. Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist.
Register 3: Adoration of the Magi with swaddled Christ Child in manger; Virgin lying on a bed; Joseph. Presentation in the Temple; Christ held over the altar by the Virgin and Simeon.

Two hinges.

Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive traces of polychromy and gilding: haloes, hair, hems, roses (gold), red.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Ink inscription: '1535'. De Vicq label (251). 1912 inventory label.

Object Condition
Missing: candles held by the angels in the Coronation scene.

Comments
Label pasted on the front with printed no. '3' (?).

Provenance
Collection of Prince Petr Soltykoff, Paris: sold, Drouot, Paris, 8 April 1861, lot 240. De Wismes collection, St-Omer: sold 25 March 1875 to Hourez, antiquaire in Lille. Collection of Jules de Vicq, Lille (no. 251): his bequest to the Museum in 1881.
