Seated Virgin and Child; Christ in long robe; Christ standing on the Virgin's right knee; Christ holding an apple in his right hand; crown; bench.

Polychromy - Gilding
Faint traces of gilding and polychromy: red (the Virgin's gown), gold (Christ's and the Virgin's hair).

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Crosshatching in the lower part.

Object Condition
Missing: a piece of the Virgin's crown.
Two dowel holes between the Virgin and Christ. One large hole at the back of the Virgin (only visible from the back).

Comments
Carved in high-relief, the Virgin's lower arm is carved in the round.

Acquired before 1861.
