Judgement of Paris (Mercury present); the three goddesses Venus, Juno and Minerva stand before Paris asleep; Mercury brings Paris the golden apple.
Wing, right
Bathsheba receives a letter from David; David, from a window of his palace, sees Bathsheba bathing.
Crosshatched background. Foliated border.

Museum's opinion 2013: 19th century, in a late 15th-early 16th-century German style.

Traces of two missing hinges.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Round white label with the inscription: 'R 59b'.

Provenance
Collection of Karl Thewalt, Cologne: his sale, Kunsthaus Lempertz, Cologne, 4-14 November 1903, lot 600, pl. 10. Collection of George Wilhelm Rehbock, a Hannover merchant; purchased from him by the museum in 1906.
