Kneeling youth playing dice; bare-chested youth.

Paris 1986: 1st quarter of the 14th century.
Paris 1998: Paris, c. 1300 or 1st decades of the 14th century.

Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Missing a part of the right foot. Broken right hand.
Worn.
Lower part of the handle oxidised from contact with the blade (now missing).

Provenance
Found in a late 14th- to early 15th-century domestic garbage dump in an area north of the Saint-Denis basilica in 1982.
