Knight kneeling before a lady who places a helm over his head; herald in a tree blowing a trumpet. Tournament; ladies and youths (including a king) observing the jousting knights in armour from the castle battlements; lady holding a dog; trees; flowers; horses; shields. Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy (green).

Flat and smooth. Remains of a label. Pencil inscription: '14.'

Object Condition
Horizontal break across the centre of the panel. Holes for missing fittings, with traces of rust.
Missing: the upper right part of the panel and upper left corner. All edges partly broken.

This piece is part of the same casket as Inv. 420b, also in Hannover.
