Object Condition
Roughened area for the lock in the upper centre.
Upper border is recessed for the lid and has been cut down on each side. Piece of raised borders missing at both ends. Pieces missing along a longitudinal break. Holes for the missing fittings.

Comments
Complete casket with the same scenes now in the Treasury of Cracow Cathedral (Koechlin 1285).

Bought by Henry Walters from Henry Daguerre in Paris in 1923; Walters Art Museum, 1931, by bequest.
