Height: 100mm
Width: 65mm

Annunciation; vase of lilies; throne; God the Father, Christ Child and dove of the Holy Spirit (Trinity).
Flamboyant tracery in the spandrels. Tiled roof or brickwork. Crosshatched background.

Museum's opinion 2012: North Netherlandish, 3rd quarter of the 15th century.

Unknown

Reverse
The handle which was originally set into a chamfered slot in the back has been lost. Two incised circles.

Object Condition
Missing: lower corners. Chip on the upper right border. Hole in the upper part of the pax (probably for later hanging).

Provenance
Bought in 1855 from Mr Ducourteix-Juzereau by the Museum which was founded in 1832 by the Société des Sciences de la Creuse.
